The intelligent management of passenger flows is a key consideration for every modern airport. It not only contributes to efficiency and profitability but also to a positive passenger experience. Adam Symalla is an internationally seasoned expert on this topic. Since August 2019, the senior airport consultant has been supporting the team at amd.sigma with more than 15 years of experience in airport planning and management. His areas of expertise include project management, airport privatisation and the digitalisation of passenger processes.

Thanks to his project experience in Eastern Europe, Africa, Australia and the United Arab Emirates, he has a well-developed network of international contacts along with a strong intercultural skill set.
Most recently, Adam worked for three years as Head of Guest Experience at Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi, where he was responsible for lounge planning and guest experience strategy in the new Midfield Terminal. Prior to that he directed the Airports Division at Dorsch International Consultants and spent seven years with Hochtief AirPort (now AviAlliance), where he last worked as an asset manager at Sydney Airport.

Adam graduated in industrial engineering and he holds an MBA. He is fluent in German, English and Polish.
