Autonomous parking, robot baggage transport, green airports. It might sound like science fiction, but in fact it’s what our masterplanning is looking at right now. Digitalisation and automation will radically change the world of airports. New technologies influence users’ behaviour and increase airports’ efficiency: car-sharing and self-parking cars can reduce the need for parking space, e-vehicles can improve airports’ environmental footprint. The subject of Airport 4.0 is on our minds and we’re keen to play out more scenarios.
